A historic Salford pub is set to host a cabaret show to raise money for a charity supporting victims of domestic abuse.
Ember & the Vixens, a touring burlesque and variety show, will take over the Kings Arms pub on Sunday 30 August.
Fresh from a sell-out run in Manchester, Selina Helliwell’s production will turn the Bloom Street boozer into a cabaret den for a “spectacular night of liberation, empowerment, and fundraising.”
The evening will feature live music, burlesque, spoken word and circus acts, with all profits donated to Independent Choices, a domestic abuse charity that runs a helpline in Greater Manchester.
The organisation provides support, advice and practical assistance to people affected by domestic abuse and violence across the region.
Ember Travixen, Selina’s stage persona, will preside over proceedings on the night.
