A man was found dead this morning at Bridgewater community gardens in Salford.
There was a police presence after reports of a ‘concern for welfare’ on Tuesday morning. Police attended to the area on East Philip Street at 6.30am, September 29 and a cordon was shortly put in place after a man was found dead at the scene.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “At around 6.30am this morning, officers responded to reports of a concern for welfare close to East Philip Street, Salford.
“Sadly, a man was pronounced dead at the scene. There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances at this time.”
Police remain active in the area situated by the River Irwell.
