BREWERY head office claim to know nothing of the incident that took place last Sunday.

Manchester brewery JW Lees claim to be unaware of one of Liam Gallagher’s party being kicked out of their Heaton Moor pub, The Elizabethan on Sunday, February 19.

The Manchester icon took to Twitter to air his frustrations after someone he was with, thought to be his older brother Paul Gallagher, was told to leave the pub for wearing tracksuit bottoms.

In one of his tweets, Liam warned future customers that unless they’re wearing a ‘Gucci bath robe’ they won’t be allowed in the establishment, referring to the member of staff who asked them to leave as a ‘clown’.

Despite his tweets going out to more than 1.43 million followers, the brewery’s head office, based in Middleton, claim to know nothing of the episode. When approached for comment, a spokesperson for the brewery said that she had not heard about the event taking place.

However, The Elizabethan’s manager, Callum Hartley, has commented on the incident, claiming, when speaking to the Manchester Evening News, it was a ‘bit of a laugh’, and that they also don’t actually have a dress code.

Since the event, other pubs in the area have taken the opportunity to welcome the Gallagher brother in to their pubs, regardless of his clothing choice.

Burnage’s ‘Reason to be Cheerful Beer Café’ responded to the Oasis star’s tweet, letting him know that they ‘don’t discriminate’.

Heaton Moor’s Plough on the Moor have responded to the incident with a tongue in cheek comment on their chalkboard.

Other Twitter users also took to the site to comment on the event, with user @Garyb28Gary referring to the pub’s apparent banning of ‘Manchester royalty’, and @stockporttom posting ‘Don’t worry @The_Liz1, it is only negative publicity seen by 1.4million people.’

Liam has been teasing his new album on social media for the past few weeks, following confirmation of festival dates across Europe, including Bergenfest in Norway & Exit Festival in Serbia. Wigan based Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft has also confirmed in an interview with Q Magazine that he will be performing with Liam at some point in 2017.
