Salford City will be looking to maintain their play-off push tonight as they welcome neighbours and promotion rivals Bolton Wanderers to the Peninsula Stadium.
The Ammies come into the clash looking to make it three wins on the bounce after an impressive 2-1 home victory against in-form Stevenage, which saw the visitors’ 15 game unbeaten run come to an end. The task at hand could prove to be a difficult one however, as Gary Bowyer and his men entertain yet another of the division’s in-form sides in third placed Bolton Wanderers.

Ian Evatt’s Bolton team are hoping to become the first side this season to leave with all three points, with City turning the ground into somewhat of a fortress with nine wins and 11 draws. Gripping onto the final automatic promotion spot, Bolton will be looking to solidify their promotion bid in a game that could prove pivotal for both sides, as they aim to chase down Cheltenham and Cambridge in the top two, rather than looking over their shoulders at the chasing pack.
The competition for promotion in League Two is extraordinarily wide open, with every side currently placed in the top half of the division mathematically still able to win the title with only seven games remaining.
