Salford City Council has announced new funding which will be used to improve the job opportunities for the people of Salford.

To kickstart this scheme, an online panel will take place on 13th December and be free to attend for all Salford residents.

It will be hosted by leading industry experts in the city from business, volunteering, and education sectors.

The panel will take place remotely, and outline the key employment and skills issues in Salford, as well as how they can be combatted over the next three to five years.

The panel is led by Andy Westwood, Professor of Government Practice at the University of Manchester. Councillor Phil Cusack, Executive Support Member for Skills, Work and Business will represent the council and introducing the discussion.

The meeting will start at 09:30am, with a planned finish time of 10:45.
