Salford care organisations are being invited to bid for a grant from a £25,000 pot for new ideas to improve health and wellbeing.

Applications are open until August 31 for Salford-based groups, including NHS organisations and health and social care providers.

The applications can be across multiple different categories, such as neighbourhood care, frailty and ageing, sexual health and assisting with hesitation around vaccination.

The main criteria for the applications are quality improvement and innovation.

Salford Integrated Care Fund, part of the Greater Manchester network, is looking for things that are new to the NHS, and could make a big difference to the quality of health and care of the people of Salford.

There are 40 care facilities within Salford, including 15 offering nursing care.

The quality improvement category is only accessible to current Salford care providers, and can vary in length, ranging from three months to a year, rather than the set 12 months for innovative projects.

This allows for a wider range of solutions to care to be presented within pre-existing care structures.
