Former teammates and friends have paid respects to former Red Devil Adam Walker who died this morning at the age of 31.

‘Fozzy’, as he was known to his friends, played 25 times for Salford in a career spanning ten years and eight different clubs. He featured in Salford’s Grand Final loss to St Helens at Old Trafford in 2019 and also represented Scotland 12 times internationally.

He played a total of 178 professional games including 108 in a three-year spell at Hull Kingston Rovers.

Many of Walker’s close friends and family have taken to social media to share their memories of him, including former Red Devils halfback Jackson Hastings who described Walker as a “champion team mate”.

Former clubs and teams have also tweeted tributes including Salford Red Devils, Hull KR, Huddersfield Giants and Scotland Rugby League. The cause of death is currently unknown.
