Salford residents have taken to Twitter to share their frustrations with ongoing roadworks on Trafford Road.
The reaction comes after Salford City Council announced that Trafford Road would be closed from 19:00 yesterday evening (2nd November) via Twitter.
The road was closed from past The Quays and up towards the M602 roundabout until 06:30 this morning.

The closure is part of ongoing roadworks which were originally scheduled to be completed by October 15th. The resurfacing work was delayed after underground utilities blocked access to the broadway area.
Salford residents have expressed their anger over the road closure online.
One user, John-Paul Atley, tweeted: “How long until this nightmare project is finally over?”
Another claimed: “Why is it taking so long..wait I know…Its because there’s only 3/4 workers doing little bits here and there who have packed up by 2pm”
Councillor Mike McCusker, Lead Member for Planning and Sustainable Development, said: “No-one likes roadworks, we fully understand that, but this is one of the biggest schemes the council has ever undertaken and a major route in a key growth area in Salford.
“We are working to improve the capacity of the road for all users by improving all the junctions on both sides along this 1.5 kilometre stretch of road. This will help traffic flow to reduce congestion in the long-run and provide better facilities for pedestrians and cyclists to encourage people to continue walking, cycling and using public transport to reduce the number of cars on the road.
“This is part of a Greater Manchester-wide programme to create the largest joined up system of walking and cycling routes in the UK after a huge increase in walking and cycling during the pandemic.
“It has been a challenging scheme but our contractors are working hard to keep local residents, businesses and commuters informed and respond promptly to any comments or queries they have. We are doing all we can to try and minimise disruption to residents and thank them for their patience as this major investment scheme nears its end.”
