A Salford health group is urging residents to share feedback on local health and social services through a series of Christmas-themed library sessions.

Healthwatch Salford is visiting different libraries across Salford, offering advice and activities.

Today (Tuesday 29 November) at Walkden Library it was ‘Tech and Tea Day’, ahead of a visit to Broughton Library tomorrow.

Healthwatch Salford engagement officer, Ali Macleod, said: “Healthwatch is all about signposting people and supporting them with health concerns.

“These events help because by gathering more people’s views we can persuade services and say, look, we’ve had a considerable amount of feedback about this issue and improvements need to be made.”

The organisation has also set up an online competition called Elfwatch where participants can win a prize if they guess where the elf is.

Ms Macleod added: “We thought this competition was a good way of getting in touch with more people and encouraging them to get involved with us and tell us about the issues they’ve got.”

The gatherings are from 10am–1pm at:

Eccles Library on the last Monday of each month
Walkden Library on the last Tuesday of each month
Broughton Library on the last Wednesday of each month
Swinton Library on the last Thursday of each month
Pendleton Library on the last Friday of each month
