Salford Red Devils will be without star player Tim Lafai ahead of their Round 7 Super League clash against Huddersfield Giants.

Head Coach Paul Rowley confirmed that both centre Lafai and hooker Amir Bourouh are out after picking up injuries in the 20-16 loss to Wigan.

The Samoan returned to the team after a hamstring problem for the game at the DW Stadium last week, but has now picked up a seperate issue with his hamstring.

Bourouh picked up a shoulder injury and is expected to be out for months.

In more positive news, Andrew Dixon has come back from his injury and was pictured in training this week.

Dixon rejoined Salford this season after nine years away, but has yet to play a match.

Salford sit in 5th in the Super League table, with a quarter of the season already played.

They welcome Huddersfield to the AJ Bell on Sunday 2 April, kicking off at 3pm.

Giants, led by former Reds player and coach Ian Watson, sit in 9th place with two wins.

They have a game in hand over Salford due to their fixture against St Helens being postponed.

Last time out, they lost 12-14 to the World Champions in Saints at home on Thursday 23 March.

Huddersfield have no injury concerns of their own, with new signing Jake Connor being slowly eased back into the side following knee surgery last year.

Giants are also hopeful that Tui Lolohea and Jake Bibby will return from their issues in time to play this Sunday.
