Salford City are back in action this Saturday as sixth-placed Swindon Town travel to Peninsula Stadium in League Two action.

With two losses on the bounce, including a late defeat at Wrexham, Salford are looking to build on their home form in the league.

Salford currently sit in 15th place after 13 rounds and are hopeful to climb the table after a disappointing start to the season.

The visitors currently sit in a more favourable sixth position, with only having two losses in the league this season, only one team having fewer.

Swindon Town found their feet again last week, with a 2-0 win over Newport County after three consecutive losses.

Neil Wood’s men will be looking to keep Michael Flynn’s attacking threat as quiet as possible, with Swindon scoring 29 goals so far this season, the second most in League Two.

Salford winger Luke Bolton previewed the game, anticipating “a good game for the neutrals.”

The Ammies will also do their best at supplying the inform striker Matt Smith, with the 34-year-old being the joint top scorer in the league with nine goals, alongside Robins forward Jake Young.

Last time the two teams faced each other, the Wiltshire side grabbed a 1-2 win at the Peninsula Stadium in February.

In the last five meetings between the two sides, the fixture has resulted in one Salford win, one draw and three Swindon wins, with all of the Robins’ victories coming at the Peninsula Stadium.

With this being the birthday week of the Peninsula Stadium, three points would be a fitting gift for the now six-year-old stadium.

Salford City play Swindon Town at the Peninsula Stadium, with kick-off at 15:00.
