Salford City fans have ranked as the fourth “best-behaved” supporters of last season.

The security experts at Get Licensed have looked at the football fans with the most banning orders, football-related arrests, and incidents at football matches to reveal the UK’s “best behaved” and “naughtiest” football fans.

The study shows that supporters of Salford City were the fourth best behaved last season, with a “naughty” score of just 0.3/10. They had two banning orders, zero football-related arrests, and five reported incidents.

Barnet, Harrogate Town, and Morecambe had the best-behaved supporters last season, with a “naughty” score of 0.17/10.

The supporters with the fewest banning orders (1) were Stevenage, Crawley Town, Bromley, Aldershot Town, Barnet, Harrogate Town, and Morecambe.

The teams with no football-related arrests were Harrogate Town, Morecambe, Salford City, Bournemouth, and Yeovil Town.

The team named as having the naughtiest fans overall in the UK is Manchester United. Looking at factors such as football-related arrests, banning orders, and more, fans of the Red Devils scored a “naughty score” of 9.97/10.

West Ham has been named as the team with the highest number of football-related arrests. The London club had 89 arrests made during last season, which is more than any other team.

Manchester United also had the highest number of incidents reported at matches last season, at 32. In second place was their neighbours Manchester City with 26 and Blackpool came in third with 25.

When looking at the leading reasons for arrests of football fans, public disorder is the most common, with 35.25 per cent of all arrests relating to this issue, followed by violent disorder, which accounted for 19.78 per cent of all football-related arrests.
