A man has died today after falling from a roof in Winton.
The man fell from a property on Trevor Road in Winton at around midday (Friday February 23).
Police were called to reports of “a concern for welfare” at the property and upon arrival they found the man on the roof. The man fell shortly after and sustained fatal injuries.
This afternoon the road remained closed and drivers were being asked to find alternative routes.
Greater Manchester Police said in a statement: “At around 12.30pm today (Friday 23 February 2024), officers were called to reports of a concern for welfare on Trevor Road, Eccles.
“Officers attended the scene and located the man on a roof, a short time later, the man subsequently fell and sadly sustained fatal injuries.
“A scene remains in place and enquiries are ongoing.”
