A Salford councillor has says the announcement a new Aldi store on Salford Quays is coming to the area is great news.
Ordsall councillor Brendan Keville was reacting to vacancies posted online for jobs including cleaners, store assistants and managers. The store is set to open in Summer 2026.
The announcement follows on from plans that were initially proposed in July 2025.
The store is situated on Trafford Road, a five minute walk away from True Student Accommodation and sits across the road from Oasis Academy, making the supermarket an ideal shopping spot for students and families alike.
Different job listings include:
Deputy manager, earning between £14.27 and £15.20 per hour;
Store Manager Apprentice, earning between £8.83 and £12.37;
Store Assistant, earning between £13.03 and £13.95 per hour;
Store Cleaner, earning £12.60 per hour.
Salford Employment Hub is offering support and guidance to Salford residents who may be interested in applying.
They offer advice and access to IT support to help with the application and interview process.
