A man has been left with life-changing injuries after being hit by a car following a dispute in Lower Broughton.
Greater Manchester Police were called to Broughton Lane in Salford at around 5.40pm on Wednesday after reports of a hit-and-run incident.
Officers said two men got out of their vehicle to challenge another driver following a road traffic collision. The driver then drove off, striking one of the men, who is in his 50s. He was taken to hospital where he remains with life-changing injuries.
A second man, aged 18, was dragged along by the vehicle during the incident. He is also receiving treatment in hospital for injuries described as neither life-threatening nor life-changing.
A man in his 50s has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and remains in police custody for questioning.
Detectives investigating the incident have asked anyone with CCTV, dashcam or mobile phone footage from the area to contact them.
