Salford City manager Peter Cklamovski was very pleased with his sides attitude and performance this afternoon, as Salford ran out 1-0 winners over Swindon Town thanks to a late Joe Powell strike.
Speaking following the match, the manager was delighted with the game management his side showed, particularly at the back:
“The clean sheet feels good, the performance today deserved on, it comes from hard work on a weekly basis and I’m just pleased with the players and very proud of their efforts and mentality on a daily basis and today they get their rewards for it”.
Midfielder Powell scored his third goal in as many games 13 minutes from the end, and Cklamovski was keen to highlight the way that these results stem from hard work from the whole group:
“It’s pleasing for him. He’s a great talent who has been working hard and it’s a really good reflection of what the boys do as a group every day and we will take some positives from todays game with the three points and keep building”
The Ammies are now up into the top half of the League Two table, and host Sheffield Wednesday in the EFL trophy during the week, before a local trip to Oldham in the league next weekend.
When asked about what is to come, Cklamovski underlined the importance of how the squad has been growing and adapting:
“We are definitely building something but we need to stay humble, there is still a lot of work to do” “The belief has been growing ever since the start of the season, and we will continue to evolve our football and will continue to get better every week”
