Salford City are at the top of League Two and currently have the best form in the league, winning four of their last five games.
The Ammies travel to Cheltenham Town on Saturday looking to keep that run in tact and cement their place at the top of the table. Kick off is at 3pm at the EV Charger Points Stadium.
Salford have been in good form over the last few weeks, including a 4-1 win against Oldham Athletic and a 1-0 victory over Fleetwood Town. Those impressive results in September see Salford at the top of the table despite a mediocre start to the season.
Cheltenham will be looking to make things difficult for the league leaders. They currently sit fourth in the table, just one point behind Salford, so there is plenty at stake for both teams.
For Salford, another win would give them even more confidence as they look to continue their strong start to the season. However, with Cheltenham also challenging near the top of the table, it’s unlikely to be an easy afternoon for the Ammies.
A heavily rotated side in the cup clash midweek will give Salford a much needed rest ahead of the top of the table clash on Saturday afternoon.
