Tonight, Irlam football club (FC) face Cheadle Town in a North West Counties Football League (NWCFL) Premier Division clash.

The game tonight sees John Main’s side, play away at Cheadle Town’s Park Road Stadium – with the game kicking off at 7:45.

Irlam currently sit 11th in the Premier Division, with 11 points from 19 games. Whilst Cheadle Town have 15 points from 15 games.

Irlam go into the game high on confidence, with the Salford outfit first in the form table in the Premier Division – with the team going unbeaten in their last six games, picking up four wins and two losses.

Irlam’s opponents tonight, Cheadle Town, experienced a rocky start to the season, with the Stockport side picking up only seven points from their first eleven games.

Paul Marshall’s side have since picked up a bit of form themselves, going unbeaten in their last four games – picking up two wins and two draws.

Despite Cheadle’s recent resurgence, Irlam should fancy their chances away at the Park Road Stadium, with John Main hoping his side can grab some points to edge closer to the playoffs.

Irlam striker, Declan Daniels, will be hoping to continue his prolific start to the season – with the striker scoring 19 goals from 16 starts in all competitions.

A win tonight would put Irlam on 22 points, which is only one point behind 5th placed Wythenshawe Town, who currently occupy the bottom spot of the playoff places. The side also have games in hand on some teams above them.

If Irlam can keep up their good form, the side could be heading for promotion come the end of the season.
