Salford Red Devils RFL - Peaceful protest march

Salford Red Devils have announced the signing of four loan players ahead of their Friday night fixture against Leigh Leopards.

The Red Devils, who were unable to field a team against Wakefield Trinity needed to fill the much-needed gaps in the squad to play this Friday 22 August.

And with the departure of Joe Shorrocks on loan, leaving for Leeds Rhinos to the end of the season.

The Red Devils confirmed the fixture against Leigh would go ahead, with a selection of first-grade players now available to play, and the Club has managed to secure a selection of players on loan from across the Super League.

Joining the Red Devils will see two new additions from Hull KR, back-rower, Leon Ruan.

The 22-year-old moved to East Hull after making his breakthrough with Leeds Rhinos but is yet to make an appearance for the Robins.

Known for his power and athleticism, Ruan joins the Reds on loan for Friday’s fixture.

The Red Devils have also made the signing of Louix Gorman, a young, exciting centre who made his Super League debut for the Robins versus Wigan Warriors in 2023.

Since his debut for the club, he has since enjoyed loan spells with Featherstone Rovers and London Broncos but will now link-up with the Reds.

Salford have also announced the signing of the highly rated centre, Jack Darbyshire.

Darbyshire joins the club on loan from Leigh Leopards after spending a loan spell at League One side, Rochdale Hornets.

He will be available for selection against his parent club this Friday.
