Salford City have announced the arrival of forward Nicolas Siri, signing on loan from Montevideo City Torque.
The young Uruguayan will spend the 2025-26 season at the Peninsula Stadium, adding to Karl Robinson’s attacking options.
After making his debut for Danubio in the Uruguayan First Division at 16, becoming the youngest ever player to score a hat-trick in a topflight league later that season.
Following his early success, Nico secured a move to Montevideo where he has made 56 men’s first team appearances to date.
His performances and talent earned him a place in the victorious Uruguay Under-20 squad at the 2023 U20 World Cup.
Siri continued on his development pathway with a loan spell at Lommel in the Belgian Challenger Pro League earlier this year.
Following the announcement of the move, Nicolas Siri said: “I’m pleased to be here, and I can’t wait to start playing.
“I’m a player who likes running into space, who constantly tries to hit the target and looking to score as much as I can.
“Lommel was a great opportunity, I really enjoyed it, and it helped me prepare for my next career step in Europe,” he added.
“I believe being here is a great opportunity that I am going to make the most out of, and that I am going to enjoy.
“If you do well at this level you can set yourself up to have a great career. That’s my goal and that is what I want to achieve here,” he continued.
Nico will wear the number 27 shirt and is available for selection tonight against Cheltenham Town.
