A Salford music venue is hoping to build on its star-maker reputation with the latest gig promoting local bands.
Emerging Manchester band Flyover perform at the Eagle Inn tomorrow, March 4, following in the footsteps of bands like Elbow and The Beautiful South.
Flyover frontman Hardy Lee said: “This show at The Eagle Inn feels like an important moment for us.
“We’ve been working hard on new material and putting a lot into our live shows. It’s going to be loud, energetic, and raw.”
He added: “We love the intimacy of venues like this because the connection with the crowd is key to a good performance. Allowing us to engage with the audience as much as possible.”
Manchester-based Flyover blend genres of alt-rock straight from the ’90s and indie-grunge, reminiscent of Nirvana’s style through a modern lens.
The band initially saw success in the local music scene in Manchester, demonstrating a fusion of sounds that felt like heritage from the area.
Hardy Lee said: “We formed as a band in 2024 when we all met at BIMM university.
“The lineup has changed a little over the last year with drummers, but myself and our bassist Dylan have always been a constant in the band.”
Taking a leaf out of their heroes’ books, Flyover focuses on a live music setting. Having headlined multiple shows in local venues and opening for other musicians, the band has shown a chaotic energy in their performances that remains raw and grounded.
Tickets for the show can be found on The Eagle Inn’s website.
