Live music, food stalls and family-friendly entertainment will be on offer at a summer fair taking place in Salford this weekend.
Families from across the city are set to flock to Irlam on Saturday, where an alternative school for children aged between 3 and 11 will host a community fair to celebrate the city’s centenary year.
The free fair at Sunrose Learning Hub on Boundary Road runs from 12 until 4, featuring children’s workshops, a maker’s market and water-based activities designed to help families cool off in the forecast sunshine.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy free refreshments and a buffet spread, providing a chance to refuel while taking in the day’s entertainment.
“Bring your friends, family and help us celebrate our amazing community together. Everyone is welcome,” a spokesperson for the learning hub said.

They support home-educated children by offering a safe environment where they can mix with others and be social while learning.
They are offering free stall space to people who would like to promote their business at the event.
“Do you run a small business, offer a service, make handmade products, or represent a local community group?
“We’re offering FREE stalls for anyone who would like to promote their business, organisation or community project during the event,” organisers said in a message posted on social media.
“Bring your friends, family and help us celebrate our amazing community together.”
