A man has been arrested in connection with an assault at Clarendon Park on Valentines Day.

Police were called to the park over concerns of the welfare of a man on Tuesday 14 February. The man was confirmed to be ‘seriously injured’ and was taken to hospital where he remained in a stable condition. His current condition is unknown.

A police cordon was put in place around the park on the afternoon of the 14th, with forensic tents and vans present.

Yesterday, police confirmed that a 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, in connection with the assault.
