Salford Red Devils have a massive game in the Super League against 5th placed team Hull F.C, in what could be a difficult clash for the Red Devils.

It is taking place away in East Yorkshire at Kingston Upon Hull’s impressive MKM stadium, which seats 25,400 spectators. The match kicks off 15:00 on Saturday 11 March 2023.

Salford Red Devils currently have two points from their first three Rugby matches. Despite a winning start for the Red Devils seeing off Leigh Leopards in the first match of the season, they have since suffered two back to back losses against Hull K.R, and Warrington Wolves.

They are looking to get back to their winning ways on Saturday against a strong Hull F.C side, who have enjoyed a good start to the campaign picking up two wins from three so far.

Managers of other sides have had four months to counter the flamboyant style of the Salford Red Devils attack.

The Red Devils have seen twice now the use of tactical kicking as a partial means of starving them of sufficient possession to be the threat they can be. It is now up to the squad to put it right at the weekend against Hull F.C.

The Red Devils have been dealt an unfortunate injury blow with Oliver Partington and Joe Burgess set for a prolonged period of time on the sidelines.

The pair are key players in Paul Rwoley’s small squad, so it will be a big miss for the game. This leaves the Red Devils with a ‘bare-boned’ squad, with now only 18 players available for Saturdays trip to Yorkshire.

The two injuries join the list of other players out including Dan Sarginson, Alex Gerrard, Ryan Lannon and Danny Addy.

With already the smallest squad in the Betfred super-league, this could be a big disadvantage for the Greater-Manchester side.

The Red Devils had already faced an injury crisis going into the new 2023-24 season, with the side only able to have 19 players to select from for the seasons opener with Leigh Leopards.

But with the teams attacking style, they will be sure to believe they can take all the points in the North East.

The head to head record between the two teams in past eight years, falls in Hull F.C’s favour, with the Yorkshire outfit winning nine out of the past 16 meetings between the pair.
