The tallest skyscraper in Salford has been completed standing at 50-storeys high.
The building dubbed Cortland at Colliers Yard began construction in 2020 and finished last week.
The glass tower contains 559 one-, two- and three bedroom apartments.
Standing at 153m tall, the high-rise will provide sweeping views over Greengate, central Manchester and beyond.
The 50-storey tall tower is one of three to be built in the Colliers Yard area of Greengate.
The other two buildings to be constructed have been dubbed ‘Bankside’ and ‘Parkside’.
A targeted zone for regeneration, the Greengate area has seen considerable redevelopment in recent years and remains an earmarked area for growth.
A location for many proposed designs including the renovation of a series of bridge arches into cafés and restaurants, the creation of a 41 storey co-living tower as well as other skyscrapers in the area.
The skyscraper was bought by American firm Cortland, together with Madison International Realty, in December 2021.
501 feet in proper measurement. Perhaps the lot should be flattened, they think it is down town L.A which it isn’t.
