The New Adelphi Theatre is welcoming the return of its popular comedy night for an evening of improv, stand-up and sketch comedy.

Salford’s popular New Adelphi Comedy Night has seen many of students go on to successful comedy careers and has been hailed as an ideal opportunity for young comedians to find their feet by organisers.

On Tuesday 7 October, The New Adelphi Theatre will bring together professional acts and rising stars in a showcase of comedic talent.

The New Adelphi Theatre are working with the Totally Improvised Company to deliver a night of laughter and the chance for rising stars to shine.

Organiser and lecturer Brainne Edge says: “The variety of talent coming from Salford is always inspiring.

“The New Adelphi Comedy Night is an opportunity for the future faces of UK comedy to test their material and find their feet.”

The first half of the show will be dedicated to improvisational pieces by students and the professionals of the Totally Improvised Company.

Following the intermission, the second half will be a display of original material from student performers over a range of genres.

Sean Mason, lecturer and performer, says: “We’ve had stand-up, musical acts, sketch comedy, character comedy, a bit of everything.

“Every night is exciting, fresh and really funny.”

Performances will start at 19.30.

Tickets are available online and on the door on a pay-what-you-can basis.
