A Salford-based yoga group are hosting an event to mark International Women’s Day in the city.
WellnesshubMCR have announced the return of their annual ‘move and manifest’ event, which will take place in Salford Quays at Kargo MKT on 8 March.
The event has run in each of the six previous years and consists of a 40-minute yoga session and a 30-minute journaling session in which the founder of the group will talk about her personal life and building a business in an effort to bring women together in a supportive environment.
Carly Tong, founder of the WellnesshubMCR, said: “The session is designed to help you feel energised and refreshed and that no experience is needed for this special event.
“I have held this event for the past six years and have worked with Kargo (MKT) for the past two as they subsidise the event.”
The yoga session costs five pounds which is a special rate for women’s day which includes a free coffee but attendees must bring their own yoga mat and journal.
Carly Tong also said: “The event has been made to feel welcoming to women and is also accessible and friendly.
“We do this event to make women feel welcome and to celebrate women’s day.”
WellnesshubMCR also host events in Media City every Wednesday which is a 35 minute sunrise yoga session and is suitable for everyone.
