Renowned magician Dynamo will kick off his first UK tour in a decade at Salford’s Lowry Theatre.
The artist, now performing under his real name Steven Frayne, will begin his series of spectacular live shows with a five-day run in the city.
The master illusionist will open his nationwide tour in front of an audience at Salford Quays on Sunday 17 January before bringing the spellbinding run to a close on Thursday 21 January.
Following his major sell-out residencies at London’s Underbelly, the magician has revived his acclaimed Up Close and Magical show, which welcomes audiences of all ages.
Dynamo was catapulted into the spotlight in the early noughties on Channel 4 and went on to capture the attention of more than 250 million magic fans across the globe with his smash hit documentary series Dynamo: Magician Impossible.
Best known for his headline-grabbing stunts and boundary-breaking cinematic TV, Dynamo now enters a new chapter with ‘Up Close and Magical’ – offering audiences a rare chance to experience his magic live, up-close and with nothing to hide.
Following his major sell-out residencies at London’s Underbelly, the magician has revived his acclaimed Up Close and Magical show.
The show, which received four-star reviews from both The Guardian and The Times, Up Close and Magical is billed as a unique showcase of magic from across Dynamo’s incredible career to date.

Since bursting onto the scene two decades ago, Dynamo has created a global legacy, impacting and inspiring millions worldwide – from sold-out arena tours, Sunday Times bestsellers and multiple award-winning titles.
Across his formidable career, he has won the Academy of Magical Arts Magician of the Year in 2015 and the Magic Circle’s Maskelyne Award for Performance whilst achieving the highest level of recognition within the society.
Dynamo’s on-screen career has been equally impressive, receiving three BAFTA nominations, winning two Virgin Media awards, and achieving Sky’s biggest entertainment launch in the last decade with 1.8 million tuning in to watch the opening show of Beyond Belief. He catapulted back into the broadcast sphere with the phenomenal Dynamo is Dead, Sky’s biggest Entertainment show of 2024, and closely followed by 2025 ‘Miracles’.

Tickets for Dynamo’s Up Close and Magical tour including Lowry dates will go on sale to the General Public on Friday 12th June at 10am. Lowry Members will have the chance to buy tickets from Thursday 11th June via the theatre’s website.
