The boxing world is excited for the return of Tommy Fury with the Salford boxer being described as ‘Must see TV’.

The reality TV star and brother of World Heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is set to return to the ring this month.

Fury, who will be looking for his fourth win in the professional ranks, will be back on November 13 at BT Sport studios in London. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic the bout will take place behind closed doors. Through his antics on Love Island, in which he met current partner Molly-Mae Hague, Fury amassed a massive 188,000 followers on Twitter. Although no opponent has formally been announced, Fury is still extremely excited for the upcoming bout.

He said on Twitter “I’m beyond happy to announce that I will be back doing what I love on November 13, The wait to get back has been absolutely killing me”.

Despite the tough circumstances in regards to training Fury added “I’m more than ready for this. Tune into to BT Sport and watch live”.

In his last fight, Fury won for the first time via knockout but fans will still be hoping for a step up in opposition. All three of the men who have stepped in the ring with him so far, had lost more fights in their careers then they had won.

Somebody who really rates Fury is the host of the podcast ‘Inside the Mind of a Fighter’ Jonny Rashman.

He said “The name Fury will always cause excitement in the boxing world. The difference with Tommy Fury is he’s already a legitimate star way beyond his boxing years. Whilst his opponents are cherry picked so early on in his career, he’s still must see tv”

Salford City Radio’s Paul Whiteside is equally impressed by what he has seen from one of British boxing’s most thrilling rising stars. Whiteside believes Fury has all the time in the world to secure the big fights.

He said “At 21 years of age, Tommy Fury still has time on his side, as he looks to progress through the ranks at his current weight! The light heavyweight has all the physical attributes required and there is no reason why he can’t progress to championship fights in the near future.”

Despite his success on television, Whiteside believes Fury needs to his focus all his attention on boxing if he wants to achieve his potential.

Whiteside added “it’s just shy of 12 months since Fury’s last fight and he will be hoping to shake off the ring rust when he meets his opponent in just over a week’s time. Fury’s time away from the ring taking part in reality television was

well documented last year but if this young fighter wants to achieve anything in boxing he needs to be fully focused on staying in the gym, keeping sharp and staying switched on”.

Fury will fill fight in the co-main event of the British title rematch between Oldham’s Mark Heffron and London’s Denzel Bentley. The second fight in this North vs South battle was asked for by the fans after the first contest ended in a draw after an exciting battle. With the boxing public looking forward to the rematch and the Love Island contingent excited to see what the young star has to offer, Fury is set to have a huge audience for whom he can display his skills.
