With the weather getting warmer and today (March 24) marking National Cocktail Day, we have found the best bars in Salford to grab a cocktail.
Whether you are looking for a laid back drink after work or a great place for a girly night out; Salford has a variety of bars.
In Media City UK, there are plenty of bars to choose from, including the chain bar, The Alchemist, where you can look out onto the waterfront. If you’re closer to the city of Manchester, Celebrity owned Menagerie Bar and Restaurant, on New Bailey Street, is the perfect place for some great photos with its fancy interior.
The Alchemist, Media City UK
Right on the Waterfront is the popular bar, The Alchemist, where you can even sit outside on the balcony overlooking the Quays. The Alchemist is known for its theatrical cocktails, including cocktails that change colour, smoke, and even set on fire!
On the menu you’ll find cocktails, such as, the colour changing one, Zombie mix, and bubblebath.
The Botanist, Salford Quays
Another popular chain brand is, The Botanist, which also has a range of cocktails on the menu. They even do cocktail masterclasses for those looking for a more involved evening, learning how to make your favourite cocktails.
On the menu, you’ll find drinks, such as, Pink Poppy Punch, Strawberry and Elderflower Mojito and Berry Colada.
Lime Bar, Salford Quays
Next to the Lowry outlet shopping centre, is Lime Bar. This is an independent food and drink venue, offering a relaxed experience for diners.
The menu consists of classic cocktails, such as, cosmopolitan, Daiquiri and Mojito.

Menagerie Bar and Restaurant, New Bailey Street
If you’re looking for somewhere which is perfect for a picture, then this is the place to go. With fancy decor, this bar has endless selfie opportunities. Two of it’s three owners are also celebrity stars, Seema Malhotra and Stacey Forsey from The Real Housewives of Cheshire.
The venue also has plenty of live shows and performances.
On the menu are cocktails, such as, Hippie Juice, Pink Lady and Boy Bye.

Closer to the city of Manchester, is the Lowry Hotel Bar and Lounge which offers a range of cocktails. The signature cocktails are inspired by The Lowry and include; Lowry Champagne, the Bee Keeper and Talk Tonight
