The family-friendly fundraiser is open to all abilities and ages and will begin at 11am by the statue in the middle of Peel Park.
Almost 100 people have signed up already, in what promises to be a brilliant start to the festive month.
Fancy dress has been encouraged by the organisers, and will aim to get participants in the Christmas spirit.
Registration for the event will take place from 9:30am, and partners PureGym will lead a warm up at 10:45am before participants set off on a two lap course.

Emily Norman, Strategic Communications Lead, commented on the importance of community this winter:
She said: “We recognise at this time of the year it can be hard to get things in the diary, we’re hoping to add some community spirit and get people moving.
“Having something like this (Mental Elf Run) as the season is changing is really great for people.
“There’s immediate results between our happy hormones and exercise, being with people adds to that connection too.”
Participants can make a real difference to someone struggling with their mental health this winter.
£25 funds a help sessions where a trained advocate empowers a vulnerable young person in Salford to resolve an issue that is causing them mental distress.
Tickets cost £10 per adult and £5 for a child. Children under five can participate for free.
