Swinton Lionesses will return to their league campaign after the success in the Challenge Shield as they face London Broncos.
The Lionesses will return to action this weekend (Sunday 25 May) at the Heywood Road and will be looking to continue their winning form.
The club currently sit in second position, with a game in hand over league leaders Cardiff Demons.
The Lionesses have had a dream start in the Women’s Northern Championship after being promoted winning both games by a significant distance.
The last league fixture was played away to Hull FC and the Lionesses continued their perfect start to the season beating Hull 38-12.
The match was played on Sunday 30 March, and even though the Lionesses did not get off to a brilliant start, they pulled back the game and began a dominant performance.
They were able to break through Hull’s defensive line, and as the tries kept flowing and Swinton did not let up one bit, once they were in the swing of things.
However, this weekend’s fixture will not be an easy one – with London Broncos currently sat in fourth in the league table.
The Broncos have had a strong start to the season like the Lionesses, as they haven’t lost a game yet, but they have drawn against Cardiff Demon’s, who are in the first in the league.
The Lionesses are still revelling in their first trophy win against Salford Red Devils, where they won 12-4 and to collect their first team trophy, the Challenge Shield.
This amazing run of form has continued to propel them to a good place in the league and the rest of the season is looking bright for the Lionesses.
