A new community choir is being launched in Boothstown encouraging residents to experience the joy of singing and meet new people.
Local Vocals was established in 2021 by LIPA graduate Laura Bennett-Gornall, and runs nineteen other choirs across Lancashire and Greater Manchester.
The community choir will be launched in Salford, and inviting residents to join in the experience of singing in a relaxed atmosphere.
The new local choir is encouraging people to find their voice and do something that will benefit both physical and mental wellbeing.
Residents will be welcomed to the choir for weekly sessions hosted every Tuesday from 7pm to 8pm at Boothstown Community Centre.

The sessions will be hosted by choir leader Jonny and will encourage members to learn uplifting songs in four-part harmony, meet other choir members, and can opt into the choir’s upcoming performance opportunities.
Joining the choir will allow residents to also support their charitable goals, with Local Vocals raising raised over forty thousand pounds for charities since they formed.
And members of Local Vocals, can not only have fun singing but also contribute to important causes in the community.
The choir is open to anyone over 16, with no auditions, previous singing experience or ability to read music required. If you love music and singing, that’s all you need.
The choir performs a diverse range of songs by artists such as Oasis, Adele, Take That, Fleetwood Mac, Queen, Stevie Wonder, Justin Timberlake, Human League and many more.
The choir have also been able to make unique arrangements and exciting performance opportunities at festivals, stadiums, in cathedrals and at community events.
