The Heywood Road-based club have only played twice this season so far in the league as their two home games have been called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
They are now looking to regain some momentum as the games start to come thick and fast, with rescheduled Championship matches to be added to an already busy period.
And assistant head coach Alan Coleman is confident they can cause an upset against Featherstone at the LD Nutrition Stadium this Sunday.
He said: “I think it’s going to be a difficult game but on our day, I think we can beat anyone.
“It’s been frustrating with it being so stop start so far this season but we’re hoping to get the season up and running now.”
Bad weather conditions have caused match postponements throughout the Championship season but Coleman is equally concerned by how the weather has affected training.
He added: “Training hasn’t been the best because we’ve been training at the AJ Bell and due to the weather, the conditions haven’t been good, but I guess it’s been the same for everyone.
“I think Stuart and I want to push the boys as much as possible and although the play-offs would be great, we just want to finish as high as we can this season.”
Swinton have been drawn away to Widnes Vikings in the Fifth Round of the Challenge Cup after thrashing amateur club Leigh Miners Rangers 56-0 in the Fourth Round.
The tie is to be played at the Halton Stadium on Sunday March 15 and Coleman is as excited by the Widnes tie as he is this weekend’s clash against Featherstone.
He said: “I think we have a chance in the Challenge Cup, obviously we know Widnes are a good side, but I don’t see any team as being too difficult for us.”
