Salford City have signed Southampton forward Princewill Ehibhatiomhan on loan until the end of the current season.
The 20-year-old striker has made 58 appearances for the Saints’ Under-21 side, has represented England at the youth level and arrives having spent the first half of the campaign at promotion rivals Swindon Town.
Ehibhatiomhan scored three goals during his 14-game spell with the Robins before being recalled by Southampton in January.
The young forward has played predominantly as a central striker throughout his career, but is versatile and can play out wide.
He signed his first professional contract with Southampton in August 2023 and went on to impress in the 2024/25 Premier League 2, scoring nine goals in 22 appearances.
His performances in Southampton’s youth set-up earned him a one-year contract extension with the Hampshire club last summer, and he was sent to Swindon to develop under the stewardship of experienced manager Ian Holloway.
Ehibhatiomhan scored on his debut for Swindon in a 2-1 defeat against Cardiff City in the first round of the EFL cup, but failed to force his way into the starting side and saw his minutes drop as time wore on.
He is Salford’s second attacking signing of the January transfer window after Ryan Graydon joined from Fleetwood Town and adds to the club’s firepower as The Ammies push for promotion to League One for the first time.
