Tonight Irlam FC take the short journey to Chorlton, Manchester to take on North West First Division South side, Maine Road FC.

The match kicks off at 19:45 this evening and is being played at Maine Road’s home ground, Brantingham Road and will begin both sides’ Frank Hannah Cup runs.

Irlam FC’s Manager, John Main, leads his Salford men into the first round of the Frank Hannah Premier Cup in good form with them winning their last four matches in the league.

The North West Premier Division side will be looking to reproduce some of their recent positive performances and inspire a cup victory tonight.

The home side, whose home strip and badge are extremely likened to that of the Premier League Champions, Manchester City, drew and lost their last two games so will be hungry to put things right in front of their home fans.

Victory for either side would see them progress into the second round of the Manchester Frank Hannah Premier Cup and Maine Road’s manager, Rees Welsh will be looking to get a shock result against the Salford side who are a division above the Chorlton club.

Irlam FC’s danger men include player-manager, John Main, whose had nine goals in nine starts so far this season. He will most likely be accompanied in the attack by Millon Brown and Saul Henderson, who will be making his return after a three game absence and Captain, Andrew Langford will look to provide a solid performance in midfield.
