Salford clean-up team, No Mess No Stress, says fly-tippers are thwarting efforts to keep a Lower Broughton park clear of waste.
They have been clearing the park off Pegwell Drive once a month but the rubbish just piles up again.
Group founder Jamie Whiteley says the growing number of gas canisters being discarded in the park is also a problem.
Jamie thinks the cost of living crisis is influencing people’s choice of waste removal.
He also explained the on-going issue with hoarders.
He said: “People have authorities on their back, council who aren’t looking to help them but looking to punish them.
“They’re in a battle where they have to get rid of the waste somewhere and they chose the wrong way. All we can hope is that in the future there can be a better system because of the cost of living, everything has gone up. So, people are being backed into a corner.
“Many years ago, there wasn’t really an issue as much with fly tipping.”
He said councils had made it harder for traders with commercial waste who have to have a permit and are allowed only 10 trips a year.
